The poems you never saw
to write them would make me raw
inside
scraped out like a d&c, the womb
to become a tomb
inside
The poems you never read
would take the last drop I bled
dry
siphoned till the veins
collapse, drained
dry
The poems you never knew
could exist only for you
buried
in the bottom of a box
in my soul, locked
buried

ReplyDeleteThank you, BitchyAngel. I looked at your site. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the line: "the womb to become a tomb inside."
ReplyDeleteLiz, Thanks. It's not a good feeling, but it fit when I wrote the poem. I'm into nature, too, and I really like your blog.

ReplyDeleteI REALLY like how you did this. The form is excellent. Repeating the same thing was a stroke of brilliance. And the lines between....I bow to you!
