American Soldiers,
Thank you all for putting it on the line for everyone living in our country: pro-military, anti-military, citizen, non-citizen. You have my utmost respect, and I wish that I had signed up when I was younger. Every day I try to improve something about myself, try to be a better citizen. I'm learning.
Thank you again for keeping our country safe, for upholding democracy, for self-sacrificing so we can enjoy freedom.

Unbroken,
bent but unbroken
I stand straight again
just as before
All the madness,
the confusion,
they have faces
and names
Assurance
is an expensive commodity,
but one for which I am willing
to pay a high price,
as well as for friendship,
trust,
loyalty,
respect,
honor.
Standing alone but tall,
a friend,
trustworthy,
loyal,
respectful,
honorable
For You, my friend.
