Late evening grocery shopping,
walked up and down
every decorated, advertised aisle,
colorful labels, bold print,
sweet breads, spicy peppers,
freshly sliced meats
begging us to buy them;
We weren't very hungry,
still glad to see each other
after 11 hours gone by,
so we did not buy things
we did not need.
We did not miss anything.
