Surrounded by darkness
on every side,

Comforted by thoughts of you,
Resolved to hold you in my arms,
slumber with you.

Light of my snow-covered forest of dreams,
Scarf wound snugly 'round my neck,
Sweet, hot chocolate flowing between my lips,
Enchanting violin lulling me to follow you
farther and deeper into peace.

Old existence throws rock at me,
tries to beat me down,
but I endure as promised.

A smile on my face,
a know in my heart,
a glimmer in my eye,
for how much they want us not.

You read me better than anyone can,
Show me a better way to be a man,
Speak to my heart with songs,
Hold my hand to lead me along.
