A Lover's Tale

The man in the park, I'd love to spend
time with him, to help him mend.

The cold-hearted user, hard-up for words,
I wish he had wanted a writing partner.

My closest friend, I'll love him for life.
I'm jealous but happy for him and his wife.

My husband, my dear, I wish him no wrong.
We're more like siblings as love has gone.

The man who dug me from my grave
has a favor coming when he wants paid.

My first teacher, a gentle sort,
I never knew he carried a sword.

A lover's tale, tragedy, comedy, romance,
A tale of each round, tournament, dance.
