The witch was not a witch,
but a practiced magician
with a sparkling cane
that appeared an able extension,
a sixth finger,
making fantasies appear
and then disappear.
The queen was not a queen,
but an infantry soldier
riding the horse
of an awol cavalry man,
on a mission
to restore honor to the people.
She wanted to meet the witch.

Unbroken,
bent but unbroken
I stand straight again
just as before
All the madness,
the confusion,
they have faces
and names
Assurance
is an expensive commodity,
but one for which I am willing
to pay a high price,
as well as for friendship,
trust,
loyalty,
respect,
honor.
Standing alone but tall,
a friend,
trustworthy,
loyal,
respectful,
honorable
For You, my friend.
