Always felt the rhythm
of the rain,
of the wind,
of the silent tongues;

Always felt the rhythm
of the pain,
of the din,
of the crying young;

Always felt the rhythm
of the slain,
of the hidden,
of the spilt blood;

Always felt the rhythm
of the grain,
of the smitten,
of the unsung;

Always felt the rhythm
of the plain,
of the forbidden,
of the wronged;

Now I dance the rhythm
of your strain,
of your kin,
of your strong.
